In 2010 Ann Cathrin November Høibo was awarded Sparebankstiftelsen DNB NOR’s scholarship for her work Preparation for A Masterpiece.

The jury’s conclusion read: The artist uses concrete objects, and possesses great composition and material sense. The work can be seen both as a sincere and mysterious, intimate and playfull as we as fully exposed; the work invites involvement. The work can clearly be seen in the light of the 50s and 60s without diminishing it to mear reference, or dating it. The jury praised the artist's method, the work's complexity and vitality.

Bio


Ann Cathrin November Høibo was born in Kristiansand, Norway, and lives and work in Oslo and New York. She has an MA from The Art Academy in Oslo and Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In 2012 November Høibo had solo exhibitions at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Høvikodden and STANDARD (OSLO). Ann Cathrin November Høibo also participated in group exhibitions such as; The Art of Cooking, Royal T Cafe, Los Angeles, Five Thousand Generations of Birds, Fitjar. Game of Life, Kristiansand Kunsthall, A Disagreeable Object and Sculpture Center, New York.

As Ann Cathrin November Høibo now returns to Oslo Fine Art Society, she has invited Else-Marie Jakobsen, Tori Wrånes and Tiril Hasselknippe (CEO gallery) with her. The exhibition includes a sculpture made in collaboration with Jakobsen and Wrånes as well as an introduction of artists represented by CEO Gallery in Malmö, Sweden. The gallery will present works by the following artists; Calla and Max Pitegoff (US/DE), Vittorio Brodmann (CH) Sandra Mujinga (NO), Mia Goyette (US/DE), Jakob Simonson (SE), Grayson Revoir (US) as well as Ann Cathrin November Høibo and Tiril Hasselknippe.
