In the seventh edition of the talk series Kunst og litteratur, Lotte Konow Lund is in conversation with Tommy Olsson. The conversation revolves around two texts by Olsson, written 21 years apart, both of which included the word gråt(crying) in their titles. Both were published on Kunstkritikk.no, and both became the most discussed and widely shared art texts of their respective years.

The first, from 2004, was titled Jag är ensam, förvirrad och rädd, jag fryser och gråtattackerna kommer med allt kortare intervaller. It was commissioned as a text about the now-discontinued award exhibition Carnegie Art Award at Kunstnernes Hus. In February 2025, Jeg er fryktelig alene, fortvilt, fattig og utbrent, men gråten min handler ærlig talt om andre ting was published – this time Olsson had been invited to cover the opening of PoMo in Trondheim.

Tommy Olsson (b. 1963 in Lindesberg, Sweden) is based in Trondheim. He is a visual artist and writer, and made his literary debut in 2008 with Knust. Kritiske fragment 2000–2006 (Cappelen). Olsson has published five books and is a regular contributor to Kunstkritikk and Klassekampen.

This episode is a live recording from Oslo Kunstforening on 3 December 2025.
