*In 2024, tuition fees were introduced for students outside the EØS and Switzerland who want to study here in Norway. Free education for all is one of the cornerstones of a democratic society, and the title of this year's exhibition Free Education for Some* points to the surrounding debate, as well as the ripple effect that follows last year's decision. The title also goes into dialogue with that of the Art Academy's MA graduation exhibition, Free Education for All, which opened on 12 April at Kunstnernes hus, and can be read as, This is what we want, This is what we have (or vice versa).
